Vice President, Flight Operations

  • Responsibilities:
    -Establish strategic direction of inter-hub routes
    -Maintain/update flights in company database
    -Maintain/update graphical charts depicting airline routes
    -Assist hub managers in defining regional airline routes

  • Qualifications:
    -Graphic design experience
    -12 months of activity with Mountain Air

Vice President, Information Systems

  • Responsibilities:
    -Establish strategic direction of website appearance and functionality; including database design and interface
    -Dissemination of information; including management reports, pilot activity detail, organization and route structure
    -Conduct and/or oversee website maintenance for corporate and hub websites
    -Ensure a consistent look and image for Mountain Air across all websites/webpages

  • Qualifications:
    -Excellent web design skills
    -FrontPage 2002/2003 experience required
    -MS Access experience required
    -MySQL experience required
    -PHP experience required
    -Thorough knowledge of SQL statements
    -12 months of activity with Mountain Air

Vice President, Human Resources

  • Responsibilities:
    -Establish and maintain job descriptions for each airline position
    -Coordinate with Vice President, Information Systems, to post all open positions on the Mountain Air corporate human resources site
    -Actively recruit Mountain Air pilots to fill available positions
    -Coordinate with senior managers to recruit and fill available positions
    -Manage the "new pilot" welcome process
    -Coordinate with Hub Managers to maintain an active roster within each hub

  • Qualifications:
    -Outgoing person with strong interpersonal skills
    -Time available for regular online participation and interaction with Mountain Air pilots
    -6 months of activity with Mountain Air

Manager, Hub

  • Responsibilities:
    -Welcome each new pilot at the respective hub via personal email message within 48 hours of new pilot notification
    -Actively participate in Mountain Air operations; fly online via Squawkbox at least weekly; attend Mountain Air events
    -Encourage hub pilot activity via email and online communication
    -Maintain pilot database records at the respective hub
    -Coordinate with Vice President, Human Resource to maintain an active pilot roster in the hub
    -Answer pilot questions; assist pilots by identifying help resources
    -Delegate hub responsibilities to Assistant Hub Manager, as needed

  • Qualifications:
    -Outgoing person with strong interpersonal skills
    -Basic web design skills; FrontPage experience preferred
    -Time available for regular online participation and interaction with Mountain Air pilots
    -Familiarity with Squawkbox and online flight simulation
    -6 months of activity with Mountain Air and have a minimum rating of Captain

Manager, Assistant Hub

  • Responsibilities:
    -Assist Hub Manager with hub responsibilities

    -Outgoing person with strong interpersonal skills

    -Time available for regular online participation and interaction with Mountain Air pilots
    -Familiarity with Squawkbox and online flight simulation
    -3 months of activity with Mountain Air and have a minimum rating of First Officer

Pilot, Chief (Hub)

  • Responsibilities:
    -Assist the Hub Manager with hub responsibilities; responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, flight assignments, promotions, etc.

  • Qualifications:
    -Time available for regular online participation and interaction with Mountain Air pilots
    -Familiarity with Squawkbox and online flight simulation
    -3 months of activity with Mountain Air and have a minimum rating of First Officer

Pilot

  • Responsibilities:
    -Actively participate in Mountain Air by flying at least 1 flight each month
    -Actively participate in Mountain Air Forums

  • Qualifications:
    -Desire to fly
    -Time available for regular participation and interaction with Mountain Air pilots

Manager, Dispatch

  • Responsibilities:
    -Work with executive management to strategically plan Mountain Air's route structure
    -Add and remove flights from the route system
    -Maintain both corporate and regional route maps
    -Manage dispatchers by ensuring flightplans are checked regularly for accuracy and currency
    -Manage airline's chart database (instrument approach procedures, STARs, SIDs)

  • Qualifications:
    -Time available for regular flight and flightplan maintenance
    -6 months of activity with Mountain Air
    -Access to MS Visio for updating route maps
    -Access to IFR enroute charts (low and high)

Dispatcher

  • Responsibilities:
    -Assist Dispatch Manager by ensuring flightplans are checked regularly for accuracy and currency
    -Assist Dispatch Manager by ensuring airline's chart database is accurate and current

  • Qualifications:
    -Time available for regular flightplan maintenance
    -1 month of activity with Mountain Air
    -Access to IFR enroute charts (low and high)

Manager, Events

  • Responsibilities:
    -Create and sponsor at least one company-wide airline event per month
    -Manage corporate events website utilizing FrontPage 2002 or newer
    -Assist hub managers in development and sponsoring of local hub events

  • Qualifications:
    -Outgoing person with strong interpersonal and communication skills
    -Time available for regular website maintenance
    -6 months of activity with Mountain Air

Manager, Fleet Maintenance

  • Responsibilities:
    -Coordinate the introduction of new aircraft and from the Research and Development area (or the modification of existing aircraft) for use by all pilots.  Provide pilots "beta" versions as necessary to pilots for the purpose of testing and receiving feedback from the pilots in regards to modifications  regarding aircraft design/performance
    -Coordinate with Managers of Flight Dynamics, Panel and Gauge Design and Audio Design for the introduction of this proposed/finalized aircraft
    -Create and maintain flight manuals for official aircraft
    -Create self-installing EXEs to assist pilots with aircraft installation

  • Qualifications:
    -Thoroughly knowledgeable in the required areas used in aircraft design/modification used in FS2K4 in order to maintain and improve the airline's fleet
    -Use industry standard software and/or aircraft design fundamentals in the design of future or the modification of existing aircraft to be used by all Mountain Air pilots
    -12 months of activity with Mountain Air and minimum rating of Captain

Designer, Aircraft Audio

  • Responsibilities:
    -Coordinate with Manager, Fleet Maintenance to incorporate all audio/sound effects for all Mountain Air fleet aircraft
    -Incorporate all audio/sound effects for aircraft in Research and Development as required by Vice President, Fleet Maintenance

  • Qualifications:
    -Thorough understanding of audio/sound effect files commonly used in aircraft for FS2K4

Designer, Aircraft Paint

  • Responsibilities:
    -Coordinate with Manager, Fleet Maintenance in the creation and maintaining of accurate paint schemes on official airline fleet according to logo standards

  • Qualifications:
    -Thorough understanding of FS2K4 paint procedures

Designer, Aircraft Panel

  • Responsibilities:
    -Coordinate with Manager, Fleet Maintenance in the creation and maintaining accurate and realistic panel and gauges for all aircraft assigned to Mountain Air and for all aircraft in Research and Development (R&D) using industry standard methods

  • Qualifications:
    -Thorough understanding and knowledge of panel and gauge design files commonly used in aircraft for FS2K4

Designer, Flight Dynamics

  • Responsibilities:
    -Coordinate with Manager, Fleet Maintenance in the creation and maintaining the most realistic flight dynamics (and associated files) to be used in all current Mountain Air aircraft  and for all aircraft in Research and Development (R&D)
    -Coordinate with "real world" pilots, when possible, to ensure flight dynamics perform according to real-world specs

  • Qualifications:
    -Thorough understanding and knowledge of creating or modifying necessary file(s) to ensure the most realistic flight dynamics  for aircraft in FS2K4

Manager, Scenery Design

  • Responsibilities:
    -Manage the development of enhanced scenery in FS2K4, focusing around airline hubs
    -Create and maintain a scenery development standard
    -Compile self-installing EXEs to assist pilots with scenery installation

  • Qualifications:
    -Thorough understanding and knowledge of creating or modifying necessary file(s) to ensure the most realistic airport environments in FS2K4

Designer, Scenery

  • Responsibilities:
    -Develop enhanced scenery for FS2K4, focusing designs around airline hubs, utilizing standards created by the Manager, Scenery Design

  • Qualifications:
    -Thorough understanding and knowledge of creating or modifying necessary file(s) to ensure the most realistic airport environments in FS2K4

Manager, Member Services

  • Responsibilities:
    -Personally welcome each new pilot to Mountain Air via email within 48 hours of initial join request
    -Provide instructions on the use of Squawkbox and getting connected through the VATSIM network
    -Provide database (web) access to each new pilot
    -Become familiar with Mountain Air leadership responsibilities; become a resource to new pilots about organizational and personnel issues
    -Coordinate duties with others when time away is necessary
    -Update pilot database records, as necessary

  • Qualifications:
    -Outgoing person with strong interpersonal skills
    -Time available for regular online participation and interaction with Mountain Air pilots
    -Active participation with Mountain Air

Manager, Training

  • Responsibilities:
    -Manage the Mountain Air Training Hub for new pilots
    -Conduct monthly online training sessions for pilots; determine the topic and content of training sessions
    -Develop written guides for flight simulation basics; including Squawkbox, adding new aircraft, and adding scenery
    -Make flight assignments for trainee pilots

  • Qualifications:
    -Outgoing person with strong interpersonal skills
    -Time available for regular online participation and interaction with Mountain Air pilots
    -Familiarity with Squawkbox and online flight simulation
    -6 months of activity with Mountain Air

Manager, News & Media

  • Responsibilities:
    -Place the airline in the best possible public view via acting as liaison with various online websites and forums
    -Provide regular news releases via email, forum, and company website on current airline operations, events, and general information

  • Qualifications:
    -Outgoing person with strong interpersonal skills
    -Time available to participate in regular "marketing" activities
    -Familiarity with the online community
    -3 months of activity with Mountain Air

Webmaster

  • Responsibilities:
    -Conduct and/or oversee website maintenance for corporate and hub websites
    -Ensure a consistent look and image for Mountain Air across all websites/webpages

  • Qualifications:
    -Excellent web design skills

Forum Moderator

  • Responsibilities:
    -Maintain active participation in the Mountain Air Forums by reading all messages posted, ensuring threads are both appropriate for our audience and fit within forum guidelines
    -Maintain forums by ensuring posts are in their pertinent forum
    -Contact executive or hub management via email when a post is deemed important that should receive immediate management attention

  • Qualifications:
    -Time available for daily forum monitoring, normally 5-10 minutes each day
    -3 months of activity with Mountain Air

Technical Support

  • Responsibilities:
    -Maintain active participation in the airline forums by reading all technical support related messages and responding in a timely manner

  • Qualifications:
    -Thorough understanding of FS2K4, particularly the installation of 3rd party software including scenery and aircraft
    -1 month of activity with Mountain Air
