FlightBeam Minneapolis has been released

FlightBeam has another masterpiece! I've installed it and it seems to be the most detailed yet, but doesn't hardly hit the frames. Looking forward to my first flight into there.

I bought KMSP and it really brought down my frame rates in FSX:SE. Below 10fps as I recall. I could barely move my aircraft. It was overcast and rainy and I had been running quite high settings before this point.

I'm using XPlane 11 currently, so if/when I go back to FSX I'll have to reduce my settings.

Interesting. It didn't hardly touch my framerates at all. San Francisco HD kills my frames, so I was worried about MSP, but I haven't had an issue. You don't have another add-on loading simultaneously that's causing conflicts?

That's the first time this computer has been bogged down like that, so I don't understand what was happening except that I may of had the traffic turned up a bit so I could see some airplanes AND it was overcast and raining lightly. That combo really slowed things.
This is an Alienware X51R2 designed for gaming, although a few years old, it still gets 50-60 fps on most games. I'll keep experimenting, but right now main effort is to learn how to handle xplane 11.

Are you using payware aircraft add ons?

I was probably using the Beech Duke 60 by RealAir, one of my favorites. Sad deal though- the company is shutting down.

My flight was on a day with heavy overcast and light rain and my settings were perhaps a bit to high, so I could get the full effect of MSP.

Payware add on aircraft might caused low frames when using in conjunction of the new scenery.

Can you please put your name on your signature so that we can know who you are?

Thanks
