Boeing 717-200 -- note to FS9 users

Hey everyone,

For those of you who are old school FS9-ers like I am, a note of caution if you download this plane. The aircraft.cfg file, as it is coded in the install, is meant for FSX and will not function properly in FS9. Your airspeed indicator will fail and always show 0 as your true airspeed no matter how fast you are going. I spent part of this morning troubleshooting this and found out it is related to these lines in the config file:

[altimeters]
altimeter.0=1
altimeter.1=1

[airspeed_indicators]
airspeed_indicator.0=1
airspeed_indicator.1=1

[attitude_indicators]
//Type: 0=None, 1=Vacuum Gyro, 2=Electric Gyro
attitude_indicator.0 = 2
attitude_indicator.1 = 2

In FSX, the plane runs fine, but in FS9, it does not like the fact that these indicators are listed twice. The solution is to simply delete the ".1" references so that it looks like this:

[altimeters]
altimeter.0=1

[airspeed_indicators]
airspeed_indicator.0=1

[attitude_indicators]
//Type: 0=None, 1=Vacuum Gyro, 2=Electric Gyro
attitude_indicator.0 = 2

Other than that, replace the sound and panel folders with FS9 alternates and this plane flies and looks fantastic! Kudos to Gary and Verne for their terrific tweaking and painting!!

Cheers,
