Any way to fix Majestic Dash 8 Q400?

Postby MTN2417 » Fri Oct 24, 2014 2:12 pm

Hi guys, Christian here.

Lately I've been flying the Majestic DH8D Q400 and when landing, there's two times I've noticed -4 and weird vspeeds, also -3 wich I got recently when landing at KGSO.

Is there any way to fix this? Am I missing any file or component?

Thats all,
Christian MTN2417

PD this was my second time flying it when I got the first -4 td rate. Here's the pirep:85120.

Christian,

I looked at your PIREP and one thing I noticed (according to the log anyway) is that you've fully retracted your flaps prior to touching down. It shows you go to Flaps 0 at 21:21 and then it records your touchdown a minute later at 21:22. You should leave your flaps extended until you've taxied from the runway onto the taxiway. I have no idea if that has anything to do with it, but I did notice it. Also, shoot for about a 120 knot touchdown speed when on final with about flaps 15.

Glen,

Long story xD I've been training but she's tough to slow down and such, while i get -4s Bill gets positive landing rates, This thing's driving me mad!

Hahaha

Yeah the Majestic does have a known bug where the plane sometimes records a positive landing rate. I don't know if they've fixed it or not -- you might want to check their website for an update.
