Devils Tower Tour |
Leave Gillette (KGCC)
on a heading about 060. Pass the tower to the south. Make a wide left turn
around the tower. After passing south of the tower again, fly 080 for a
minute or so. Make a procedure turn to the right to 350. This should put the
tower at about your 11 o'clock. Make a left procedure turn to 260, which
will put the tower off your right side. Make a sweeping right turn around
the tower, rolling out at 240, pointing directly back to the airport.
With one loop in each direction, flight time is about an hour. For a longer
tour, make two loops in each direction.
You need additional scenery to see Devils Tower as more than a hump on
