When flying on-line with no ATC, it is a good idea to tune UNICOM 122.80 on your comm radio. This will give you communications with any aircraft in your local area if they are also on UNICOM 122.80. This is text only. You can announce your intentions by typing in the chat window. Ex. "KGEG trf taxi to RWY 21". "KGEG trf departing RWY 21 Eastbound". "KMSO trf 25NM final RWY 11". "KMSO trf clear of RWY11". You will see other pilot info in your chat window. Read it when it pops up. UNICOM is not a chat channel. You might be penalized if you use it for chatting. Have fun.
