EARTHQUAKE RELIEF IN PAKISTAN AND INDIA

By Robert Patton II, MTN578

A 7.6 magnitude quake strikes the mountainous Kashmir region of India and Pakistan.  This major quake has leveled thousands of homes and buildings.  With winter coming, the transport of aid is critical.  Knowing that a top level air cargo operation would be needed to bring supplies, Mountain Air's PAJN cargo hub has been contracted to transport supplies from the USA on long haul flight, and also distribute the supplies on shorter local flights.  After a meeting with JY, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said, "The Juneau Cargo operation has proven itself numerous times in the past and is the best choice for this task."

The Main Cargo Lift

We have to get TONS of cargo to Pakistan...that is a long way from PAJN!   Supplies have been staged in several locations for us to pick up and deliver to the disaster zone.  The mission will start in Tokyo, Japan (RJTT) - you will deadhead there on our cargo flight from PAJN.  I hope you get some sleep on the deadhead leg because what follows is a long day.  Again, you can fly ANY plane you wish, and take ANY route you wish.  Be careful though, the lavatory on the plane is broken and your first officer, Robert Patton II, has a small bladder.  NO LEGS OVER 4 HOURS or you will be punished or get pee sprayed upon you!  The Corporate suggested route follows, but again, take any route you wish.  Final destination is Islamabad, Pakistan (OPRN).

Suggested Route: Tokyo (RJTT) - Hong Kong (VHHH) - Bangkok (VTBD) - Dhaka Bangladesh (VGZR) - Islamabad Pakistan/Chacalala Int'l Airport (OPRN)
