Our original Mail Route begins your run out of Valdez dropping mail and small freight throughout South Central Alaska in the morning and reversing the route for pickups in the afternoon. Challenging strips and often bad weather make the completion of No. 1 a risky and rewarding experience.

This route is Day/VFR only, maximum altitude 3000 ft. Stay low and use the GPS map feature to wind your way through the river valleys etc.
Aircraft selection is up to the pilot but we recommend a single engine bushplane such as a Cessna 185 Skywagon or similar.

Logbook: Follow the Copper River east from Chitina about 10 miles and then work your way through the low passes.	72 mi.	50 min.
