Mountain Air MAIL ROUTE 2A and 2B
(Juneau Cargo Hub flight numbers 9903 and 9904)
So, you flew route 1 and thought it was a piece of cake? Great, here is our latest mail contract route. This route also begins in Valdez, Alaska, but it goes West towards Anchorage. As always, A few notes to keep you honest:
Remember...VFR ONLY! Do NOT fly in the clouds. If you do, we will lose our contracts and be fined.
Check minimum weather requirements for each leg. Do not take off into below minimum weather!
FS2000 users : We suggest using Eddie Denney's Alaska Mesh available at flightsim.com
You may fly any aircraft you wish. For this route, I suggest the Pilatus Porter (PC-6), Piper Supercub, or other suitable bushplane. Please check runway lengths and conditions when selecting your aircraft.
Fly the same plane for the route - we cannot afford to leave spare planes sitting around for you to fly.
Don't forget to unload the mail when you get there!!
Try to be on time! We get bonus money for on time flying. Be sure to check the route time table below for scheduled times.

The Pilatus Porter (fs2000 version - works great in fs2k2) can be found at Avsim.com
Here is a FS2002 Flightplan for the flight. Not like you will be flying direct anywhere on this flight though!
FEELING BRAVE? : Fly the mail route with MINIMUM Weather. Here is a FS2002 startup situation with MINIMUM VFR weather. FS2002! (5.7 kb) Be sure to change from the 182 to a bush plane before flight! This weather is a challenge - you will not be able to fly direct anywhere, nor follow the company routing. I would highly recommend staying out of the clouds! Be careful of what you may find under the clouds too. Screenshot ( 33kb)
