Route 1

This route can be flown with any Amphibian/Float aircraft you wish.  It is designed for flight at low altitudes.  Varying weather is suggested to change the difficulty of the flights.  Splash flights are VFR ONLY!  No autopilot either!!  If you want to fly high watching an autopilot, this division is not for you.

Departure Point - Kitimat BC (CBW2) / on airport or in river next to airport

Arrival Point - Bella Bella BC (CAF2) / on airport or in river next to airport

Approximate distance = 150NM

Add on scenery for Splash 1 and areas of PAJN East by David Alves, MTN539.  NOTE:  this is for FS9 only and REQUIRES Lago's Scenery Enhancer program.

 

Ron's Advice:  Depart Kitimat southerly to ZKI NDB (203.0)  then down the Katimat River into the Douglas Channel then southerly in the Chatham Straight to Hartly Bay.  Fly to the east of Prince Royal Island.  You will pass by Butedale and Klemut as you follow the straight into Bella Bella.  The airport is located on Campbell Island.

JY's Advice:  Navigation is tough on this route!  As the weather goes down, it gets very tough.  That is the challenge which we all enjoy!  If things get too bad, you can always just land in the water...amphibs are nice that way.
