Route 11
by Ron Jorgensen - MTN1652
This route is your choice as long as it can land on water. It is designed for flight at low altitudes. Splash flights areVFR ONLY! No autopilot either!! If you want to fly high watching an autopilot, this division is not for you.
Depart - MA74 (Larson’s)
Arrive - 2MA7 (Falls Pond)
Crs/Dist. - 191 Deg @ 45 miles
WX: Not Optional :) - Set FS Weather Theme to “Building Storms”
MAX altitude allowed 550' AGL
Dispatch just called and said to get your $(^%%*&^% down to Falls Pond. There is a lady there that would like to purchase your airplane. Spiffy it up real nice and get that fish smell out (that is if you ever caught any).
When you pass by Norfork (32M). Falls Pond is 11 miles ahead.
NO NO’s: Use of FSNav, FS Flt Planner etc. Gosh its only 191 Deg for 45 miles. Ron's Advice:
Falls Pond is just like it says. It's a POND so plan your approach carefully. Watch out for the tall antennas on the north side of the pond. I would suggest using W/W 20W at 175'in altitude
If she fails to buy that Beauty on Wings just bring the slug back. You can reverse 191 Deg can't you?. Jeff's Advice:
Forget about looking for the pond from 550', if you're more than a mile or so off you'll never see it. Look for the antenna' instead.
