Route 8
by Ron Jorgensen - MTN1652
This route can be flown with any Amphibian/Float aircraft you wish. It is designed for flight at low altitudes. Varying weather is suggested to change the difficulty of the flights. Splash flights are VFR ONLY! No autopilot either!! If you want to fly high watching an autopilot, this division is not for you.
Departure Point - EXI (Excursion Inlet Seaplane Base)
Arrival Point - 3Z9 (Haines floatplane, AK)
Approximate distance = 50NM as crow flies / 90NM at low altitude

Ron's Advice: Depart Excursion Inlet (EXI) on the SE water way. Turn left following the coast line until you reach the Lynn Channel. Here turn NE staying slightly to the right side of the channel. Haines (3Z9) will be on the east side of the point.Depart Excursion Inlet (EXI) on the SE water way. Turn left following the coast line until you reach the Lynn Channel. JY's Advice: If the weather is good, consider taking a detour NW to Glacier Bay. Stock FSX scenery there was not spectacular, but I remember an addon for FS9 that included Glacier Bay. Low weather, hug the coast...better weather, weave through mountains. Options galore.
