Fly Oceans, Deserts, Mountains & Big Cities!
Take a spectacular tour of Central America starting at Quito, Ecuador and ending at our hub in Missoula, MT, USA. You'll pass through some huge cities like Mexico City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, as well as smaller airports along the way. You'll fly through the Andes Mountains, over the Panama Canal, and across the mountains of Central America before touring Mexican deserts, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and on into the Idaho and Montana wilderness. Whether you prefer oceans, deserts, mountains or big city air traffic, we have you covered on this trip!

The Flight Plan is Shown Below!
The flight plan is listed below. There are 18 flights to cover the 4,760 miles from Quito to Missoula. Use real world weather to make it realistic and interesting! Flights may be flown online with the group or offline at your convenience! But remember, a tour is most enjoyable when sharing the experience with others!
Fly the aircraft of your choice. This is a scenic tour, designed to enjoy the beauty along the way. Estimated times are based on TAS of 220 knots. Choose anything from a piston single to a jet ... although a couple of airports are a little tight for heavy iron. A light twin or turboprop would be a good choice for the trip.

Watch the Schedule!
The departure schedule is subject to change and will be updated from time to time. So watch it closely if you want to join the online fun! Most of the group flights will be on Saturday, with a few weeknights thrown in.
Group departure times are based on the Pacific Time Zone, so all dates and times listed will be based on west coast time. That is UTC-7 during daylight savings time, and UTC-8 after November 3.

Try the Tour!
It has been one year since our last Mountain Air tour! Let's make this a tremendous success and fill the Central American skies with MTN callsigns on VATSIM! Hopefully, it will generate new interest in Mountain Air and bring new pilots into our little virtual airline!
Come on out and give it a try! You'll see some new scenery, see new airports, and get a little taste of the beautiful Central American scenery. This invitation is open to all Mountain Air pilots, regardless of hub affiliation or rank, and all hours flown may be logged for full flight credit!
